RICK MC. LEISH, Paralegal:
The Gregory law group is proud to have Rick MacLeish as our paralegal. Rick was a paralegal early on in his life and then spent over 35 years in the auto industry before going back to school again to get reacquainted with his paralegal studies and joining The Gregory Law Group.
Beginning his career at auto dealers in 1977, Rick has held most positions from Lot Attendant to General Manager. Contrary to the norm, Rick worked his way up through fixed operations and is a specialist in this area as well as overall dealership financial analysis. Rick’s experience helped him to develop a deep, inside understanding of what makes a dealership tick. Rick turned to the manufacturer/wholesale side of the industry in 1998 as a District Manager for Saab USA and as a Regional Sales Manager then Director of Service and Parts Operations for Lotus USA. The result of Rick’s combined experience is that he can think like a dealer or a factory representative.
Rick is adept in training as he spent two years at Saab USA as a training specialist and has trained hundreds of dealership managers in basic financial analysis as well as management skills, both hard and soft skills such as communication styles, conflict management and teambuilding. Additionally, was also an instructor at the NADA School of Management at Northwood University, where he taught Parts and Service Management to Automotive Marketing and Management Degree candidates. This training and teaching experience affords Rick the ability to aid dealership personnel in implementing legal systems and frameworks that will aid the dealer in limiting exposure to the many legal pitfalls that exist.
Rick has an M.B.A. with undergraduate degrees in both Management and Paralegal Studies. Rick’s education has been in parallel with his vast automotive experience so he has had many opportunities to practically apply the theories he learned. In his ever-lasting desire to continually learn he most recently completed a Graduate Certificate Program in Financial Planning at the University of Georgia and is currently updating his Paralegal Degree to the latest ABA standards.
This unique combination of experience and education has given Rick the platform to aid Mr. Gregory in helping dealership operations limit their legal exposure while becoming better dealerships and enhancing their value to their many stakeholders. The combined experience of Rick and our attorney Eric Gregory creates an amazing opportunity for the customers and dealers that are represented by The Gregory Law Group.
